How to get to NeCEN

NeCEN is located within the Gorlaeus Building on the Beta Campus of the Faculty of Science at Leiden University in Leiden, The Netherlands. If you have questions about how to reach us please contact us at NeCEN@biology.leidenuniv.nl.

Please contact us once you have arrived at the main reception of the Science Faculty.

Alternatively, you can try to reach NeCEN yourself using these instructions.

 

 

There are several ways to reach NeCEN:

 

On foot

It takes around 30 minutes to walk from Leiden Centraal train station to the NeCEN facility. Please check the map for directions.

 

By bike (5 minutes)

You can rent a bike at the Leiden Central Station  (OV-fiets or Hello Bike). Information is available on the Hello-Bike website.

 

By bus (5 minutes)

Buses run conveniently during business hours and tickets can be directly purchased with the driver.

Bus 38 (direction Unmanned Valley) or Bus 90 (direction Lisse) pass by the faculty of Science. Get off at bus stop "Universiteitsterrein". Please check the Dutch public transport website for up-to-date information. 

 

By taxi

There is a taxi stand located directly at the front side of Leiden Centraal train station.

 

By car

The closest parking garage is at Ehrenfestweg 1. From here you can cross the street and walk to the Faculty of Science. You will enter the building at the main entrance.

 

To get to the parking garage, take exit 8b (Leiden) off the A44 motorway and continue on the N206 for ca. 500 m. Keep to your right and follow 'Bio Science Park-Oost 1/Voorschoten'. After 200 m take a left turn onto Ehrenfestweg (still in the direction of Bio Science Park-Oost 1).
