Rebecca Dillard

Rebecca Dillard is an EM scientist at NeCEN since September 2018.

From 2011 to 2013 she worked as a research technician under Professor Wah Chiu at the National Center for Macromolecular Imaging at Baylor College of Medicine, USA, where she was first introduced to cryo-electron microscopy. She then joined Professor Elizabeth Wright’s laboratory at Emory University, USA, for her PhD research in which she studied the interactions between bacterial and mammalian viruses and their host cells using cryo-electron tomography and cryo-correlative light and electron microscopy.
