Marjon Mourik is an EM scientist at NeCEN.
She started her PhD in 2010 at the Leiden University Medical Center using correlative light and electron microscopy to study the structural changes of the hemostatic protein Von Willebrand factor during storage and secretion in endothelial cells. She was supervised by Professor Bram Koster and Professor Jeroen Eikenboom. After obtaining her PhD in 2015, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Sanquin in the group of Professor Alexander Meijer.
In March 2019 she joined the NeCEN team and she is responsible for cryo-FIB SEM sample preparation for cryo tomography.
