How do I get to NeCEN?

NeCEN is located within the Gorlaeus Building on the Beta Campus of the Faculty of Science at Leiden University in Leiden, The Netherlands. If you have questions about how to reach us please contact us at NeCEN@biology.leidenuniv.nl

To reach the NeCEN facility within the building, please see the map (click here to see map) and use the main entrance (1).

 

 

There are several ways to reach the NeCEN facility from the Leiden Centraal train station:

 

By foot

Please see the map linked with Google maps. It takes around 20 minutes to walk from Leiden Centraal train station to the NeCEN facility. 

 

By bike

There are rental bikes (Hello Bike) available at Leiden Centraal train station and the Leiden University campus. These can be rented via an app, and drop-zones are available around the Leiden Bio Science Park area. Information is availabe on the Hello-Bike website

 

By bus

There are several public bus lines connecting Leiden Centraal train station with the Gorlaeus Building. Buses run conveniently during business hours and tickets can be directly purchased with the driver. Please check with either the current bus company website or with Google maps for up-to-date information.

 

By taxi

There is a taxi stand located directly at the front side of Leiden Centraal train station.

 

By car

Please let us know if you plan to arrive by car. On the access map the pink areas are car parks. At the car park, it is possible to call the reception that will open the gate when you say you're coming to NeCEN. Another option is to park underground at Wassenaarseweg 76 ("Entrance parking garage" on the map) but NeCEN needs to make a reservation before the visit.
