Governance
The governance structure of NeCEN is given in the figure below:
The roles of the various boards and committees are:
- Supervisory Board: monitors directors and output and ensures financial health of NeCEN.
- Technical Director: is responsible for daily running and maintaining the infrastructure at the cutting edge of technology.
- R&D committee: advises directors on allocating resources
- Strategic Advisory committee: advises supervisory board and reviews scientific output
At first the responsibilities of the directors of NeCEN will be managed by prof. Zandbergen (TUDelft), prof. Peters (NKI), prof. Koster (LUMC) and prof. Abrahams (UL). They will also outstation personnel from their research groups at NeCEN, ensuring a smooth start-up. Later on, directors and support staff will be recruited in an open application procedure.
